Private Boat Tours

A Custom Experience Created Just For You

Sit back, relax and let a motor do the work on one of Riptide’s exciting boat tours. We offer a variety of private charter boat tours of Amelia Island, Cumberland Island and many surrounding areas. Where else can you see an 18th century sugar plantation, a herd of wild horses, and have a chance of seeing a submarine next to a pre-Civil War fort all in the same day? Riptide’s local USCG certified captains will show you the diversity of our southern treasure we call Amelia Island on one of our guided boat tours.

Entertainment & Beauty All Around

What makes this barrier island so special is not only the long stretches of beaches but the surrounding intercostal which mazes through Northeast Florida. Our Fort George Boat Tour takes you south of Amelia Island to explore some of the most interesting and scenic areas. Learn about the Ribault Club, The Timucuan Indians, and the Kingsley Plantation. The marshlands you will journey through are inhabited by all sorts of birds, creatures, and vegetation. The captain will fill your ears with stories from the past as well as teach you about the wildlife. The tour is as entertaining as it is beautiful.

Tour Cumberland Island

Have you heard the rumors of wild horses that can be spotted on the beach? If you choose to do the Cumberland Island Boat Tour, our captain will lead you on an adventure to our neighbors north of us in Georgia. The island is known and treasured for its wealth of history and of course the beautiful animals that roam the beaches. Our captain will help you explore the area with tales of wealthy industrialists, revolutionary war heroes, and much more. Dolphins and manatees are playful in this area and can be often seen swimming next to our tours.  The majestic horses that live on Cumberland Island run freely on the coastline and can be admired by boat.  As the Cumberland Island Boat Tour is our most popular boating tour it guaranteed to wow you.

First Class Experience

Add some refreshments to your boating excursion. Our captain always keeps a cooler of water and ice on board complimentary to you. Otherwise, the tour is completely BYOB. Pop a bottle to celebrate an anniversary or bring the kids some juice boxes. It is completely up to you! Any snacks or beverages are welcome. Feel free to keep them iced down in our cooler. Our boat is stocked with amenities that will give you a first class experience on board.

So, ditch your socks, leave the docks, and set your clocks to island time with a private cruise to explore the coastlines of pristine Fernandina Beach, Fort George, Amelia and Cumberland Islands on a Riptide boat tour.

The beach chairs and umbrellas made the days perfect! It was so nice to have them there every morning waiting for us and reserving our spot. Definitely a great service!

We rented a pontoon boat this weekend and had the pleasure of a wonderful tour with Captain Zach. He was punctual, professional, incredibly knowledgeable about the wildlife, a safe driver, and took us to interesting and beautiful locations I had not been to, even as a local who has lived here for 5 years. The boat was clean and comfortable, and they offered beverages. It was very reasonably priced. We would definitely rent with Riptide again. Overall an awesome experience. Thanks again Captain Zach!!!

We recently went on the Craigcat tour with Zach. He was an amazing guide with a ton of Knowledge. While we were going we were able to see several pods of dolphins. There were several baby dolphins as well. The weather was perfect. We stopped at Cumberland Island and were able to get in the water, take pictures, and see several wild horses. This tour is the best way to spend time on Amelia Island. Would recommend 10/10.

Outstanding customer service!!!! Excellent e-bikes, and amazing delivery!!!! My husband, teen son, and I rented E-bikes, and they were in excellent shape and so simple to use. They actually go a great speed, and they provided helmets, a lock and cover. Thank you! 🚲🚲🚲 👍👍

We rented two chairs and an umbrella on Fernandina beach right by the Sandbar restaurant. It was wonderful as it was close to parking and so relaxing to not have to set up a bunch of stuff on our own. Great service! They had everything set up by 9 am with our name on the chairs. Will definitely use them again when we visit!!!

Riptide staff was great- for starters they answer the phone. We are not experienced cyclists but enjoy riding bikes. The process was way easy as they dropped the bikes off and picked them up. We even asked to switch the one bike to a smaller one and they found us where we were in town and switched the bike. Friendly and helpful service. We will definitely use them again!

I had a couple of questions that were answered kindly and efficiently over the phone. Our chairs and umbrella showed up as promised all set up and ready for us. Chairs were comfortable, umbrella was sturdy. 100% worth the cost to not have to lug this stuff along with everything else for a day at the beach.

This was one of the most enjoyable and awesome experiences! I took my 13 year old daughter and she enjoyed it immensely. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the area and also passionate about the conservation of the area. He was top notch. We got to see dolphins and free roaming horses horses. The Island and the area was beautiful. I highly recommend this tour.
