No Experience Needed! 

We begin with a short informational stand up paddle board demonstration on land, so no  experience is necessary to go on one of our SUP tours here on Amelia Island, FL.  Once you are comfortable we launch our eco-journey across the estuaries and tidal marshes of the “actual” First Coast. All outdoor enthusiasts and those eager to learn are encouraged to get up, stand up, and Ride The Tide with Riptide’s stand up paddle boarding tours.

We went on our first CraigCat Catamaran Tour with Riptide Watersports and it was the best day! It's such a fun way to spend a few hours on the water exploring the surrounding islands in Amelia Island, while learning a little history as well! 10/10 recommend this tour!

Wow! I can’t say enough about this experience. It was worth every penny. Kyle took us out on a tour and made it so special…. From the stop for shark teeth hunting to shelling to looking for manatees and horses… it was an absolute highlight of our time on the island.I loved his quick wit and humor - he made the time so enjoyable. He also knows so much about the area as a native so he shared a lot of history as well as great recommendations. He was kind and thoughtful - he took some great photos of me and my boyfriend that we will treasure as a special memory.We always felt safe. The equipment was top notch. Instructions were easy to follow for everything from the meeting spot to how to handle the boat. And these boats are SO MUCH FUN!!! We laughed so much having a great time on the water and just enjoyed every single minute of it!!!

We were only at Fernandina Beach for one day and scheduled an umbrella and two chairs set up from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. When we walked out on the beach, our setup was precisely where they said it would be, and the items were in great condition. If you want a peaceful, easy day, this is the way to go! When the young man came back to pick things up, he was courteous, and when we asked, he gave us great eating suggestions in the Historic downtown area. This is an excellent place for your rental needs.

We used Riptide for chair rentals during our recent beach trip and service was excellent! I made one call and they took care of the rest. Chairs & umbrellas were set up and picked up on time each day with no issues. They are very flexible to work with, too. Highly recommend this group and will definitely use them again on our next trip!

Riptide Watersports is the BEST place in Amelia Island to get bikes, kayaks, SUP, beach stuff and tours. So much easier than packing up all the family bikes and gear. Quality and service is excellent! Their entire staff is kind and super easy to work with. Toby and his team make our family vacations A++

Awesome Beach Chair and Umbrella Rental Service! I have a 21 month old toddler and I can’t haul chairs and umbrellas and carry sippy cups and EVERYTHING else down to the beach while watching his curious mind get into everything if I turn my back for 2 seconds. Riptide always completes my online requests just as I state in the online reservation form. They set up the chairs and umbrellas directly in front of our beach house as close to the water as possible, but far enough back from the ocean to avoid high tide. They always have the chairs and umbrellas set up out on the beach and ready for me by 8:30 and they swing back by and pick them up around 5:30. Not once has a single umbrella ever blown over or fallen down, and the wind can blow pretty fierce off of the ocean at times. The material is great and the chairs are super comfortable! I don’t have to drag anything back to the house to rinse off and put away except my child, myself, and some drink cups. Totally worth it in my opinion!!

10/10 would do again!!! Boat Tour was easy to book (even week of). Kyle was our captain and he was amazing! He mixed education with history and made sure we saw all the wildlife possible: various birds, horses on Cumberland, dolphin and manatee. His personality and energy were top notch. 4 adults and one 4 1/2 year old were entertained and laughing the entire time! Memories were made!

From the lady that answered questions on the phone to booking and paying for the private boat tour all I can say is amazing. What a pleasure to deal with Riptide. I'm hard to impress but was blown away by the whole experience with them. We went out with Brandon as our "captain" and he was exceptionally delightful and knowledgeable. As we cruised around Brandon provided a wealth of information about the area which was great. And Brandon, if you read this, thanks for your Navy service and best regards to your family - you were fantastic. If we're back to Amelia Island again we will certainly look to book another tour - highly recommend this company! BTW, our little puppy enjoyed the cruise as well!

It was so great to have umbrellas and chairs ready for our family every day. It made it easy and inviting for family members to head to the beach whenever they felt like it.
